Now take note, we all got emotional throughout the different events of the day. There was laughter, excitement, intrigue, tears, and more tears. But more laughter, which is something that we all tend to forget to do during these memorable events. A good photographer friend of mine “Aron Goss” always says to his couples which I’ve in turn adopted and given as advice as well, “this day is going to go by so fast, so remember to enjoy it” Wise words from a wise man. *high five*

So I hope you guys enjoy the set, for I sure had a blast taking the photos. Oh and ya, two of their photos were submitted to a Bride and Groom magazine. Cant’ wait to show everybody. Eat your heart out Edward and Bella!

Their vows, one of the best vows we’ve ever heard. It truly had the whole Red Lotus crew in tears. Stephen almost dropped the jib crane. (kidding). So my edit may seem a bit different for the online edit, but I just had to focus on Christine and Melvin’s vows. I didn’t even place our logo at the end because it’s not about us…this is way bigger than Red Lotus. God Bless you two. We here at Red Lotus, wish you all the best in your journey through life together. We love you! I don’t want to write too much so I’ll end it with something that Christine said which had me in tears. “No matter what happens, no matter where we are, when you go away, I know we’ll be okay…” Melvin is part of our Canadian Troops. Enough said.

So it’s been long overdue, that I present this wedding to the people of the interwebz. There has just been so much going on that our updates haven’t at all remained consistent, and I do apologize for that. But since my season is about to come to an end, look for more frequent updates. So here we have one of my most beloved couples whom I’ve had the honor of seeing them grow together and since the first meeting that I had with them, they have become two of the most important people in my life. Big thanks to Preston Szeto for being my 2nd photographer for the day, and another high five goes to the Royal Ambassador venue, the place was beautiful.

I don’t really have much to say that will do them justice. Their wedding was beautiful, their vows one of the best I’ve heard..EVER, and I couldn’t ask for more when it comes to them modelling for me. (if you count them just being so naturally awesome in front of the camera as modelling than i did my job) So I shall leave everybody with quoted lyrics from their song that they dedicate to each other as a couple…I believe just by listening to it, it really describes the type of wedding day they had. “How great is it when a couple welcomes you into their most important day, yet they make you feel as if you are family or a close friend? They are loving, have a great sense of humour, and pay attention to the finer details. When the celebrating got intense at the end of the night and everyone was dancing up a storm, Niki & Ray brought in McDonald’s burgers for everyone. They said to me that often times people go out for some fast food after a party, so why not bring the fast food to them?”

“I was placing some equipment at the back of the church while quickly getting set up. I noticed Ray standing alone at the back facing the church candles. I could hear what sounded like crying and could see him wiping his eyes. It dawned on me that it would be something great to film, but I didn’t have time to grab it. I also thought to leave that moment as it was because it was so private, emotional, and pure and showed how much this day meant to him and how strong his love for Niki was. It’s something I won’t forget and made it even more important to share that day with them. Niki and Ray were such a relaxed, fun and loving couple and I hope that our work will reflect to others what they feel for each other for life.”

“If there’s one thing that sticks out for me from Niki, and Ray’s wedding – it’s the gas canister flasks that all the groomsmen had. Not because they were shaped like gas canisters, but because of the sheer frequency of which I saw them pop out of their jackets, in the span of an hour that morning. I mean, they weren’t drinking out of them. Nope, no way – didn’t get that from me. One of the coolest group of groomsmen I’ve had the opportunity of working with. Non-stop jokes.”

“Even though I wasn’t part of the crew that was filming, every shot that came back to me to edit just inspired me more and more. Their day was filled with story and memories that I’ll probably dream about for the next month since I memorized each scene. hehe. Straight out of a movie it seemed. A mansion, a groom, a bride, and a birdcage veil. Carolyn and Matt. Their day ended at five o’clock, for they had to catch their honeymoon flight, but from that morning till the time they left, so much had happened. So much love to show so little space on my blog to show it.

Derek and Leigh are one of a kind. Their love is strong for each other; whether it’s seeing their eyes light up as they talk about each other, or as they hold each other closely, or even playfully mock each other. They have great ambitions and positive attitudes. Both are genuine people and know how to have a good laugh. Thanks you two for making this a really enjoyable shoot and coming out to waste a day with us. God Bless.
