'Ello everybody! I am back, with yet another engagement session and a small teaser from said couples wedding. (sigh) Kristoffer and Joan. In all honesty, let me start off by saying that I've known Kristoffer for quite sometime now but haven't really gotten to know him. He's the oldest brother of a good friend of mine and from the 7 years that I've known him...we haven't really... talked. He was always that brother that only said, hi and didn't stay to chat. He was somewhat aloof and didn't bother us kids (at that time). The last time i saw him was two years ago, and I have to say, upon meeting with him for their session...I can see a big change has happened in his life, and that change came when he fell in love with Joan. I mean, yah, I don't know Joan that well, and the 3 hours we spent together for their session was short, but I've made it a habit to know my couples and listen to their story of how they met, how they fell in love, what it is they love about each other, and observe how they are with each other that can go hand in hand with our style of photography / cinematography. One word? Effortless... everything was just effortless. From the way they looked at each other, to they way they just stood beside each other. It was effortless and all straight from the heart.

Kristoffer and Joan, thank you and I can't wait to see both of you again. Oh yah, I wanted to make a short speech at your wedding but didn't want to pass up on all the moments speeding by, so I shall leave it here for you to see. As you know, the word "kuya" is used as a sign of respect in our culture but holds a deeper meaning that most people do not know of. You were not the kuya that I thought of always being there for us kids, or being there to just hang out, but you were the kuya that I saw as an example. An example of hard work, of determination, of responsibility. You have shown me, leading by example, that love can change people. I wish you and Joan, a wonderful marriage and all the best in your years of growing old together. God Bless and later days :)
